Duluth Heights is a neighborhood in Duluth MN. Duluth Heights sits between Piedmont Heights, Kenwood, Central Hillside, City of Rice Lake, and the City of Hermantown. Most of Duluth Heights sits above the main part of the Duluth Hillside.
The Duluth Heights area offers close access to the Miller Hill Mall area, Duluth Airport, and the Central Entrance retail options. The location of the neighborhood and setup of the roads allow quick access to other neighborhoods of Duluth MN as well. Some of the main roads in Duluth Heights are Arrowhead Road, Arlington Avenue, and Central Entrance.
What is in Duluth Heights?
Duluth Heights has places within the community to visit without having to leave the area. A few places to visits are the Duluth Heights Park, Web Woods Trail, and Enger Park Golf Course.
The Duluth Heights Park is a larger area that can be separated into 2 main sections. The first section that sits along W Mulberry Street has a large baseball field, hockey rink, recreation center, and small playground available for use. There is some off-street parking near the playground. On the other side of Duluth Heights Park off N Basswood Ave are two additional smaller baseball fields. There is some additional off-street parking in this area as well.
Web Woods is a less known trail system in the Duluth area. It is about a one-half-mile loop in the Duluth Heights neighborhood.  Web Woods can be a great option if you want to go on a shorter trail loop without having to leave Duluth Heights.
Enger Park Golf Course can be found on the far side of the Duluth Heights neighborhood. This is one of a few local golf courses in Duluth MN with a 27-hole course featuring 3 distinct styles.

What is close to Duluth Heights?
Most of Duluth Heights residential homes are within about 5 minutes of the Miller Hill Mall area. This includes many of our larger retailers like Target, Costco, Walmart, BestBuy, Home Depot, and others. There are additional areas being developed along Arrowhead Road. Duluth Heights is very central to getting around the city because of the main roads it is surrounded by and its location within the city.  You can take Arrowhead Road to go around part of the Duluth Hill and get to the neighborhoods on the East End.  The North Shore Scenic route along Lake Superior is about a 20-minute drive from Duluth Heights. You could also go down Central Entrance to the intersection of Rice Lake Rd/Mesaba Ave. That will allow you to drive to the Canal Park area within about 10 minutes or get to the Freeway.
Technically Enger Park Tower is just outside of the Duluth Heights neighborhood by Enger Park Golf Course. Enger Tower is one of the top destinations in Duluth. There is a parking area by Enger Tower. There is a great park area to enjoy. If you venture up the hiking trail towards the other side of the park there is an overlook that has spectacular views of Duluth and Lake Superior. There are some additional benches along the hillside away from the overlook as well.
There are a variety of different homes in the Duluth Heights neighborhood. There are homes built in the early 20th century, but you can find newer homes as well. The Duluth Heights area saw additional development when the Miller Hill Mall was built. There are some homes in areas of Duluth Heights that have a rural setting that have a septic and well instead of city utilities. You can find property with larger city lots in the Duluth Heights neighborhood as well because of how the area was split up.   Duluth does not have many associations where you can purchase a townhome, but Duluth Heights does have one of the larger developments of townhomes in the city off of Como Ave. This offers a great option for anyone looking for an opportunity to be part of an association that may handle snow removal and lawn maintenance.
